PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Airport Metro Connector (AMC) Station, located at Aviation Boulevard and 96th Street, will connect regional transportation (Metro bus and light rail) to LAX via the Green and Crenshaw/LAX Lines. AMC includes a light rail station, bus plaza, bicycle parking, customer service center, passenger pick-up and drop-off area, and direct connection to the future LAX Automated People Mover (APM) to provide more options for travelers and employees to get to the airport. This project is being funded and built by Metro. LAMP is responsible for work on the interface between the APM ITF East Station and the AMC Station including escalators. The project has been designed to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating with sustainable features that include 550,000-plus kilowatts of solar panels, large native landscaping areas and electric bus charging stations. The AMC project is forecast to be completed in 2024.
