PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The shipyard, located at Pier 70, is perhaps one of the last vestiges of San Francisco’s long-fading maritime economy. The crane repair scope includes:

• Stabilization and localized repair of deteriorated or damaged metal components.

• Replacement in kind of heavily deteriorated, damaged beyond repair, or missing metal components.

• Reassembly of crane components on prepared foundations.

• Installation of special assemblies, including steel windows and doors, and counterweights.

• Touch-up painting following reassembly.
