Position Overview
Dabri, Inc. is seeking highly experienced Senior Construction Project Managers (SPM) and Senior Construction Project Managers II (SPM II) to support large-scale educational facility and capital improvement programs in Southern California.
These positions are responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects from planning through closeout, providing leadership in project delivery, cost control, schedule management, contract administration, quality assurance, dispute resolution, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidates will work closely with District leadership, Owner Authorized Representatives (OARs), architects, consultants, contractors, and various District departments to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multiple capital construction projects.
- Lead project teams and provide direction to Owner Authorized Representatives (OARs).
- Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall performance.
- Review construction schedules, change orders, applications for payment, and contractor claims.
- Assist with procurement planning, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
- Resolve complex project issues, disputes, and construction-related challenges.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and District stakeholders.
- Monitor project reporting, cost controls, risk management, and project documentation.
- Develop recommendations for improving project delivery processes, procedures, and policies.
- Support District leadership in achieving program goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:
Option 1
- Twenty (20) years of full-time professional project/construction management experience.
- Ten (10) years managing large programs with individual projects valued at more than $50 million.
- Five (5) years of experience in educational facilities, public works, or large commercial construction projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
OR
Option 2
- Twenty-five (25) years of full-time professional project/construction management experience.
- Twenty (20) years managing large programs with individual projects valued at more than $50 million.
- Five (5) years of experience in educational facilities, public works, or large commercial construction projects.
- Degree and CCM certification preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Design-Build project experience.
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience.
- LEED and/or CHPS project experience.
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes.
- Experience managing large educational facility programs.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Licenses & Certifications
- California Registered Architect (RA)
- California Professional Engineer (PE)
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
- Other relevant professional certifications
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $140,000 – $200,000 per year (DOE)
