Job Title: Resident Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Engineer to support aviation-related construction projects at operating airports in the San Francisco area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and contract administration, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Candidates should have experience serving as a Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, Project Manager, Office Engineer, or in a similar role supporting aviation projects. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction contracts as the Client’s representative
- Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Implement quality assurance plans to ensure all work conforms to contract documents
- Coordinate and oversee QA/inspection, testing, and commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and requirements
- Prepare daily construction reports, including activities, workforce, equipment, change order tracking, and issues
- Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders
- Maintain accurate construction documentation and project records
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Contractor, Client, and stakeholders
- Lead the Construction Management (CM) team and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Support additional project-related responsibilities as required
- Work night shifts as needed to support airport operations
Work Environment
This role involves approximately 50% field work and 50% office work, supporting the Project Manager and providing regular updates on project progress.

Compensation
Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (depending on experience)
