Position Summary

Dabri, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Controls Engineer to support aviation, facilities, and infrastructure projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This position will assist Project Managers, Project Controls Engineers, Schedulers, and Construction Managers with project coordination, cost tracking, scheduling, reporting, document management, and project controls activities.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience as an Assistant Project Controls Engineer, Office Engineer, Project Engineer, or Junior/Senior Project Controls Engineer looking to expand their project controls and construction management experience on large public works and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project planning, coordination, and project controls activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, design coordination, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project logs, cost reports, schedules, forecasts, and progress tracking reports.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Support schedule development, schedule updates, resource loading, and progress measurement activities.
  • Assist in quantities takeoff for all trades (architecture, structure, civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) and cost estimating
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, cost tracking, earned value reporting, and project performance analysis.
  • Review and track purchase orders, subcontract commitments, and change management documentation.
  • Support field verification, project audits, quality reviews, and reporting activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, project correspondence, and management reports.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Project Controls and Enterprise Project Management systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting construction, water infrastructure, aviation, facilities, transportation, utility, or public works projects.
  • Experience as an Assistant Project Controls Engineer, Office Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, Scheduler, or similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project controls, scheduling, cost management, document control, and construction administration processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6, PMIS, Procore, eBuilder, PMWeb, or similar project management software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on aviation, transportation, utility, water, power, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, earned value management, and reporting.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification or ability to obtain certification.

Work Requirements

  • 100% onsite position located throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.
  • Travel to project sites may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • No remote work available for this position.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $90,000 per year (DOE)
