📌 Position Summary
Dabri Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Hetch Hetchy Water & Power (HHWP) system in Moccasin, California. The Civil Engineer will perform engineering work related to water and power facilities, including planning, design, construction support, and system start-up activities. The role involves conducting engineering studies and preparing technical reports, designs, calculations, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for major infrastructure systems. Projects include water supply and treatment facilities, power delivery systems, tunnels, pipelines, dams, pump stations, roadways, culverts, bridge abutments, storm drainage systems, and erosion repair works. This role may also involve supervising technical staff, coordinating with consultants, and supporting field operations for large-scale utility infrastructure projects.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Perform civil engineering design work for water and power infrastructure systems
- Prepare engineering studies, calculations, drawings, sketches, and technical reports
- Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and design documentation
- Apply engineering principles to civil, mechanical, environmental, and transportation-related challenges
- Conduct field inspections of structures, sites, and construction activities
- Evaluate conditions for repair, maintenance, or new construction needs
- Perform surveys and collect field data to support design development
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes
- Document field conditions, progress, and site observations
- Prepare engineering reports, departmental reports, and technical documentation
- Develop cost estimates, material lists, and construction schedules
- Prepare progress payment documentation and project tracking reports
- Respond to technical inquiries from contractors, agencies, and stakeholders
- Support construction and repair projects for water and power facilities
- Assist in evaluating contractor performance and project compliance
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards and project requirements
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams

- Ability to work in both field and office environments
- Ability to work with staff engineer, engineering consultants, contractors, consultants, and public agencies
