PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project is located ½ mile south of Meadowview Road along Freeport Boulevard. The project included constructing an asphalt concrete multipurpose trail, installing at-grade crossing traffic, signal, pavement striping, and markings, constructing bollards, removing fences, constructing fences, and placing signs.

This is consistent with the City of Sacramento General Plan goals of improving the transportation system and achieving enhanced safety and neighborhood livability and the City’s Sustainability Master Plan. It will add and enhance bicycle and pedestrian facilities and promote alternative modes of travel. The project is subject to CEQA and NEPA.

The project was federally funded with Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funds and local Transportation Development Act funds.
