PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure ("OCII"), the successor to the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, has set aside two parcels in the newly constructed Candlestick Point North neighborhood within the Bayview Hunters Point Redevelopment Project Area exclusively for affordable rental housing and related supportive services. The development is intended to house low-income families, as determined by the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development, as well as households that have experienced homelessness and Transitional Age Youth ("TAY") Parents in up to 20% of the apartments. The parcel, which has a square footage of about 57,064 square feet, is bordered to the southeast by M Street, a "local street," to the northeast by an unnamed pedestrian-only Mid-block Break, to the northwest by Earl Street, a "boulevard/park street," and to the southwest by Ingerson Avenue, a commercial street. M Street serves as the major residential entry, the lobby, and the access point for cars (to a parking garage). In terms of scale, form, massing, and exterior expression, Block CPN10a is intended to harmonize with the nearby structures. It suggests 156 low-cost rental homes
